Regina Nathan set up The Recital Club as part of an endeavour to express and communicate music.
"The aim of ‘The Recital Club’ is that both the audience and I can experience new and varied programmes of music within a setting that is both intimate and accessible."
“I would like there to be an atmosphere of friendliness, an openness to hearing new as well as familiar music. I want to increase our knowledge and awareness of the music that is available to us and let that music become a welcome addition to our life experiences.”
The Recital Club aims to present a minimum of three recitals a year with Regina Nathan and other invited artists performing.
"The Recital Club is set up, not for the purpose of providing myself or the invited artists with our own personal performance platform, but in an effort to share with our audience emotions, moods and sensations, through the medium of the ‘Recital’ – exploring new and varied music; putting together innovative programmes of diverse music, ranging from folksong to operatic aria; experimenting with new ways of performing, risking to express chosen music in varied and imaginative ways.
My vision for the ‘Recital Club’ is for both the audience and the performer to create and share in something unique and personal. The ‘Recital Club’ invites the audience and performer/s to throw open the doors of music, step through, and experience the varied emotions and divine connections through the music and the energies of all gathered."
